Your brand goes further than your logo. It is what people think and feel about your organization – good or bad. It’s the emotional connection that makes the customer feel something just a little bit more when they associate with your brand.
Creating a strong brand is what sets you apart from your competition. Why should someone work with you, buy your products, or use your services over someone else? Think about this. What is your favorite coffee shop and why? They probably make good coffee, but do they do anything else that makes you feel connected? Maybe they are always smiling, and that positive energy makes you feel good every time you go there. Or maybe, they remembered your name the second time you went and you felt valued and appreciated as a customer so you feel good about spending your time and money there. Think about what they do differently and see if you can implement those qualities into your own organization.
It can be hard sometimes, with so many businesses vying for the same customers it can seem like we are fishing out of the same pond. The hard part is getting the fish to eat your worm. We know having a nice logo and colour scheme isn’t enough. You must have a consistent brand that encompasses everything you do and connects with your audience on an emotional level. Your in-person service, online presence, graphic design, and word choices, your values and beliefs—all of these things work together to create your brand.
